Historical Pub, Hysterical Comedy! Comedy Gold @ The Golden Fleece is a stand up comedy gig which runs ever 2nd & 4th Tuesday of the month. It's in the wonderfully atmospheric upstairs function room of the pub. Doors open at 8pm, the show starts at 8.30pm, and it's credit crunch friendly £4 (£3 NUS), at a time when we could all use a good laugh. The gig began in 2006, and it has seen the likes of Sarah Milican, Gavin Webster, John Scott, Patrick Monahan and Anthony J Brown, alongside fresh talent from the UK comedy circuit. It's introduced by cravat swishing compere James Christopher, who delights the crowd with his obscure indie records in the intervals. We are proud that the night has a good reputation amongst comedians as being a nice place to play, and the gig has a discerning but appreciative crowd. You are very welcome to be a part of it.
